My Little Pony - Character Design
Character designs done for a reimagining of the My Little Pony television series as per the request of my social media audience. This project primarily focused on concocting character designs suitable for reproduction as toys. I wanted to reinterpret the franchise as cartoony celshaded CGI for this reason; 3D models can easily be converted into prints, then molds for plastic kids' stuff. The characters are inspired by the core cast of various series incarnations and my own unique takes on popular cartoon archetypes. The main six characters here come with ZBrush sculpts gussied up in Photoshop, mockups for what their hypothetical in-show appearances might look like. I'm not the primary demographic for this stuff, but there's an inarguable appeal to super neotonic cartoon horsies, wouldn't you say?
